Aztec Juniors end Under 11s Run

TYFC

A tough away match with Aztec Juniors saw our under 11s lose their first league game of the season. It was an exciting game in which we dominated most of the play but found it hard to break down the Aztec defence along with their outstanding keeper who even saved a penalty.

Unlucky Under 10's fall to Whittlesford

TYFC

The under 10's will be shaking their heads wondering how they lost a game in which they dominated play for long periods and delivered some excellent football. A bit of luck and belief in their own ability will soon produce the sort of results they most definately deserved off of this performance.

Thurlow Youth Off to a Winning Start

a
Thurlow village has a new youth football club and on Saturday 23rd June they launched with a bang. Thurlow Youth FC, next season, will be entering an under 10 and under 11 team in the Cambs mini-soccer league. The boys who will be competing as under 11’s next season travelled to Braintree to participate in the Sporting 77 mini soccer tournament. The day was cut short by the awful weather conditions with semi-finals unable to be played. The officials decided the only way to find a winner of their age group was to give the trophy to the team who had performed best in the group stages. With 2 wins and 2 draws in their 4 league matches Thurlow were announced winners on the day. All of the boys played their part looking solid when the opposition was attacking then producing exciting football when they had possession, even the monsoon like conditions couldn’t dampen the enjoyment at winning a trophy on their first official outing as Thurlow Youth FC.
